How do I use a preset layout?

1. Open the number of panes the layout needs: two for Side by side, 60 / 40 or Stacked; three for Three columns or Main + two; four for 2 × 2.
2. The toolbar shows only the layouts that fit the panes you have.
3. Click one. Your panes keep their content and move into the new arrangement.

Shortcut: ⌃⌥1 Side by side, ⌃⌥2 60 / 40, ⌃⌥3 Stacked, ⌃⌥4 Three columns, ⌃⌥5 Main + two, ⌃⌥6 2 × 2.

Other ways

• To keep an arrangement of your own, click + in the sidebar's Views section and give it a name. Click the view later to bring the panes back.

Good to know

• A layout never adds or closes panes. With one pane open, the toolbar shows Split instead.
• Click Lock pane in a pane's header to keep it in its place when you switch layouts.
• Saved layouts in Views are not database views.
