How do I save a view as a Markdown note?

Open View preferences and click Save as Markdown note.

Checked against Terra 0.1.0
  1. Open the database and choose the view in the view menu in its header.
  2. Click View preferences.
  3. If you changed anything, click Save view first. The snapshot button stays off until you do.
  4. Click Save as Markdown note in the row of buttons at the top.
  5. Terra saves the note to Inbox, named after the database, the view and today's date. Click Open in the message to see it.

Shortcut: none

Good to know

  • The note holds a Markdown table of the view's rows and visible columns, in the view's order. Each title links to its note.
  • The note is a snapshot. It doesn't change when the database does. Save again for a fresh copy.
  • The view's filters decide which rows appear. A snapshot holds up to 1,000 rows.
