How do I switch between reading and editing?
Press ⌘E, or choose View › Toggle Read / Edit.
- Open the note.
- Press ⌘E to switch between Edit and Read.
- Or use the switcher beside the note's title and pick Edit, Read or Markdown source.

Good to know
- Notes open in Edit.
- In Read, the text can't change and the formatting tools are off.
- Markdown source shows the note's raw Markdown, read-only. ⌘E from there returns to Edit.
