How do I read PDFs, books and images?

Drag the file from Finder into the Terra window. Terra adds it to your library and opens it.

Checked against Terra 0.1.0
  1. Drag a PDF, EPUB or image from Finder into the Terra window. It goes to Inbox, or to a folder if you drop it on one in the sidebar.
  2. A single file opens right away. For several, click Show on the notice to see them.
  3. In a PDF, use Previous page, Next page, Zoom in, Zoom out and Page display in the reader's toolbar.
  4. To highlight, click Highlight text and drag across the words. Drag across the same words again to remove it.
  5. To draw on a page, click Markup. Right-click it to pick a different pen.
  6. In a book, pick a chapter from the table of contents beside the text.

Shortcut: none

Other ways

  • PDFs and images you copy into your library folder in Finder are added the next time the library opens.

Good to know

  • PDF highlights are saved into the PDF itself and quoted under Highlights in its note. Click Show note to see the note beside the page.
  • Books and images can't be highlighted.
  • To open PDFs or images in another app instead, go to Settings › Open With and change PDFs or Images.
