How do I rename, recolor or merge tags?

1. Choose Tools › Tag Manager…, or click Tag manager in the toolbar.
2. Find the tag. Type in Find a tag to narrow the list.
3. Click ⋯ beside it and choose Rename or Color. Press Return to keep a new name.
4. To merge, choose Merge into in the same menu and pick the tag to keep. Click Merge to confirm.

Other ways

• Right-click any tag pill to change its color, or choose Open tag page, Search tag or Copy tag.
• Renaming a tag to the name of another tag merges the two.

Good to know

• Renaming and merging update every note that has the tag in its tags property. Merging can't be undone.
• A #tag typed in a note's text isn't changed.
• Delete tag appears only for tags that no note uses.
