How do I connect an AI provider?

1. Press ⌘, to open Settings, then choose AI.
2. Under Add provider, click the provider you use. It joins the Providers list.
3. Click Connect on its row.
4. Paste your API key and click Connect. Some providers sign you in through your browser instead, and a local provider needs no key.
5. Terra asks you to confirm the connection. Click Allow.
6. Under Defaults, choose the provider and Model for Chat.

Shortcut: ⌘, opens Settings.

Good to know

• Keys are kept in the macOS Keychain, not in your library.
• Changes save as you make them. There's no Save button.
• Disconnect stops Terra from using a provider. Remove provider takes it off the list.
• Each library has its own AI settings, so a library must be open.
