How do I manage properties and types?

1. Choose Tools › Property Manager…, or click Property manager in the toolbar.
2. Click New property to add one, or select a property in the list.
3. In its details, set the Type, Color, Options and description. Turn off Show in note properties to hide it on notes.
4. For types, switch the menu at the top left from Properties to Types. Click New type, then pick a Source model and the fields its cards show.

Other ways

• In a database's properties menu, choose Manage properties.

Good to know

• Changing a property's type asks first. Values that don't fit the new type may be blanked.
• Renaming a property doesn't change notes that already use it. Their values stay under the old name.
• Built-in properties, such as title and tags, can't be renamed, retyped or deleted.
• Changes save on their own. There is no undo.
