How do I add a spreadsheet?

In a note, type /sheet and choose Sheet.

Checked against Terra 0.1.0
  1. Click in a note where you want the sheet.
  2. Type /sheet and choose Sheet. A small grid appears.
  3. Click a cell and type. Start with = for a formula, such as =SUM(A1:A4).
  4. Right-click a cell for formatting, cut, copy and paste.

Shortcut: none

Other ways

  • Drag an .xlsx or .csv file from Finder onto Terra, away from any open note. Terra copies it into Inbox and opens it as a full spreadsheet, with a toolbar, formula bar and sheet tabs. Your edits save back to the file.
  • In a query, set View to Sheet, then click Save sheet to Library to keep the results as an .xlsx file.

Good to know

  • A sheet made with /sheet lives inside its note and has 6 columns and 8 rows. For anything bigger, use a spreadsheet file.
  • Table in the same menu inserts a plain Markdown table, not a sheet.
